It is important to look at manufacturers’ websites, read reviews from real users, and try to read typical complaints to form an opinion about which one you like the most. And keep in mind that sometimes a feature of new g shock watch can work great in one model from the manufacturer, but in another model from the same manufacturer it may cause complaints.
Secondly, decide which features you will need and which ones you can easily survive without.
Here it some of these optional features right away and consider:
- Barometric altimeter : Determines your current altitude. Works independently of GPS. Usually allows the watch to also sound a storm warning when the watch sees too rapid a pressure drop in a short period of time. As a simplified version, the determination of the height from GPS data is used. This is a less accurate method, but generally works well.
- Waterproof: Speaks for itself. If you’re going to be swimming in the watch, or just don’t want to worry about it in the pouring rain, then pay attention. Luckily, most watches now boast good water resistance.
- Replaceable strap: a very practical thing, because the strap is the weakest wear part of the watch.
- Smart notifications. Many watch models are able to display information about calls and messages on their screen so that you do not have to reach for the phone during a workout.
- Recharging on the go : Some watches can be charged without interrupting your workout. This saves if you are on a very long run or hike and you have a solar panel or power bank with you.
